Solution Analyst (Finance Technology)

We’re looking for a Solution Analyst to join our Finance Technology team, driving continuous improvement across financial systems and processes and promoting strategic change programmes to enable ASOS to scale and expand globally.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Modelling current architecture, designing enterprise-grade changes and software solutions to assist business facing systems within Finance at ASOS
  • Working with the internal service delivery team, ASOS partners and Microsoft, to enhance MS Dynamics performance and take advantage of new platform features for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, LCS, and related technologies
  • Deploying code to Dynamics, managing environments and implementing best practice for configuration control and management
  • Assessing the most appropriate technologies and following architectural patterns needed to define a software solution
  • Developing strong relationships with Architects, Business Analysts and other Platform Teams across the organisation to guarantee that solution designs map to the requirements of the business and are aligned to the strategic roadmap
  • Ensure that any non-functional requirements, environmental or technology constraints are captured, considered and addressed as part of the solution design

To achieve this you will need to:

  • Work with other Architects throughout ASOS platform/programmes and those from external vendors and partners
  • Consider the impact of design decisions on a variety of quality attributes, as well as functional requirements, to ensure that non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance and resilience are met.
  • Effectively convey technical designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Be familiar with a range of tools and artefacts to convey designs and be comfortable translating them into a higher-level view, through selection of the appropriate medium for the given audience.

We’d like to meet someone with:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in designing and delivering changes for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations
  • Experience with troubleshooting, deploying, configuring and applying changes to Dynamics
  • The ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders ranging from business users to software engineers up to senior managers
  • A sense of urgency and the ability to work in a multi-tasking manner and to leverage your prioritization skills to cope with working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to rapid change

We would also love to see:

  • A background in a retail organisation would be a significant benefit, including knowledge of key Retail concepts as well as the organisational, business and technical challenges that they face.
  • Platform experience deploying components on Azure, TeamCity, Octopus and deploying code to Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations
  • Experience developing for AX and Dynamics,
  • A strong grounding in the Microsoft technology stack, including SQL server, Azure platform, and other Dynamics tools
