Position Description

Be part of something transformative and join the CGI as a Consultant working on our Open Banking team working closely with financial services clients to assess their needs and help develop innovative solutions in this domain.

This role will be based in London with a degree of flexibility required for travel.

Your future duties and responsibilities

The Consultant for our Open Banking team will essentially help further develop a rapport with clients and be competent in assessing their current state, based on attending meetings/workshops and general information gathering. It is imperative the Consultant is able to formulate sound and reasoned justifications for a proposed course of action whilst ensuring alignment with strategy in Open Banking, leveraging a sound functional understanding of the banking sector and its current challenges and opportunities.

The Open Banking consultant will look to build sustainable peer client relationships and successful delivery, being a relationship person and credible with client-facing stakeholder management. Naturally there is a significant level of interpersonal engagement with clients and other team members, a degree of proactive research and development of ideas/products/services which are relevant today in the banking sector. The consultant will also monitor (and where appropriate manage) client project budgets.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

To be considered for this opportunity we’re looking for an Analyst/Consultant who can demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of key digital aspects of Banking, and uses knowledge, information and techniques from a range of sources to address complex business issues. A preference for Open Banking and Payments-related projects is preferred, however a bright individual who can demonstrate experience within (retail) Banking abreast of what’s happening in the market today and can offer boundless levels of enthusiasm to learn will also be considered.

The successful candidate must be consultative by nature and able to speak confidently around Banking, IT solutions, client interaction, working on proposals and solution-orientated. The Consultant must be able to understand opportunities, challenges and constraints of their business models (particularly within IT/technical consulting), be an effective communicator, commercially astute, detail-orientated when working closely with assessments for clients and be able to identify market trends that may impact Banking clients and CGI offerings.
