Position Description

Be part of something exciting, come and join our successful Cyber Security business. Do you want to take control of your career? We’ve never been busier and we are looking for talented Security Consultants, at all levels, who have a blend of technical ability and passion for Cyber Security, to come and join us deliver market-leading cyber security solutions. We share your passion for security and it is part of everything we do at CGI.

As a Security Consultant at CGI you’ll join a team of 200 Cyber Security professionals in the UK, working on major programmes where security is critical.

At CGI we’re not tied to having to push particular security products, so this means that our consultants have the freedom to work closely with clients to develop appropriate design solutions to align with their security needs. In addition to being able to collaborate with our UK based consultants you’ll also have access to over 1200 Cyber Security professionals within CGI worldwide. This will enable you to help provide innovative security solutions fully focused and tailored to our client’s needs. Our Cyber team cover all aspects of security and provide our clients with a one shop stop for all their security needs. This means you'll be involved in true end to end security solutions and delivery. You will get exposure to areas such as GDPR, risk management, identity management, regulatory compliance, SOC and Advanced Threat Analysis, secure design and operation of business systems, technology supporting fraud detection and data protection, and cutting edge security product deployment and operation.

We also work across all sectors both public and private from Government to oil and gas, from utilities to banking and finance. We encourage an entrepreneurial ethos at CGI and fully support professional development of our members. We actively encourage contributions to, and interaction with, appropriate Cyber industry bodies and organisations. If you want to take your Cyber Security career to the next level as part of a dynamic company that gives you a direct stake in its success please contact us today.

The nature of some of our work will mean that you will need to be eligible for, or already hold an appropriate level of UK Security Clearance. Whilst you will be based from one of our UK offices the nature of the role may necessitate expensed travel to client sites and other CGI offices as needed and this could include extended periods away as required. We value our members’ work/life balance and offer flexible working and endeavour to minimise, wherever possible, travel and time away.

Your future duties and responsibilities

You will deliver technical security consultancy on significant security projects for our programmes across a variety of sectors including public sector, financial services, Government, commercial and utilities. This could include for example delivering a key aspect of security such as Identity and Access Management (IDAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Role-based Access Control (RBAC), or regulatory compliance (financial, personal data, sector specific). You’ll also be encouraged to develop your skills and knowledge through internal and external training and development.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

You will need to have a solid understanding of how business and technical security risk is assessed and how this informs the operational enforcement and delivery of appropriate security solutions. You will need demonstrable experience in key aspects of Cyber Security which could include; security policy and process development, secure design and operation of business systems, Identity Management (e.g. MFA, PKI, RBAC etc.), infrastructure build and operation at network, O/S or application level, SOC and Advanced Threat Analysis, technology supporting fraud detection and data protection (DPA) and security product deployment and operation (e.g IDAM, SIEM, ArcSight, IDS/IPS). Good experience within Cloud Security and good knowledge of GDPR is also highly desirable.
