We are looking for a Process Engineer, with significant industry experience to become part of the successful Process Engineering team based in Hersham, Surrey. Reporting to the Manager Process Engineering, your primary focus will be the process engineering execution of a range of projects, including air separation, cryogenic CO production and helium production. You'll have technical responsibility for the delivery of plants sold to both onsite and third-party markets and will lead a team of 2-3 process engineers while on a project.

As the Process Engineer, You Will

  • Be involved in simulation work, PFD development, equipment sizing and providing specifications
  • Design major equipment, including distillation columns, heat exchangers, front end absorption systems and backup systems
  • Design schedule items, including control valves, relief valves, flowmeters
  • Lead a small team of process engineers on small projects, ensuring delivery to schedule and budget
  • Be responsible for checking process deliverables produced by less experienced engineers
  • Development of P&IDs and their management through the life of the project
  • Preparation of operating manuals
  • Train and support members of the team
  • Provide process support during commissioning and for plant performance tests
  • Represent process in P&ID reviews, HAZOP and customer meetings

As the Process Engineer, You Will Have

  • Completed a chemical engineering degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience being a lead engineer within projects, meeting and liaising with customers directly
  • Detailed design experience, P&ID development experience and a track record of successful project execution
  • An ability to coach and supervise team members and develop their skills
  • A background in cryogenics would be an advantage
  • The Chartered Engineer status would also be beneficial
  • A dedicated and driven approach & be committed to getting it right with a never-ending desire to learn, improve and contribute
