Your role as an Ampelmann Operator / Mechanic

You are an absolute team player and the linking pin between our offshore clients and Ampelmann office. You are responsible for a safe operation and good cooperation with all parties involved. Basically, we would like to crown you as the offshore hero of Ampelmann who will work alternating periods of time. In this role, you will start as Operator 2, continue to Operator 1 and eventually become Person In Charge within one year. In this role, you take ownership and leadership in safety: you don’t wait, but you act when needed.

Regular activities

  • Responsible for operating the Ampelmann system while keeping safety as a main priority;
  • Responsible for daily system checks and weekly and monthly maintenance;
  • Responsible for the administrative processing of the operation;
  • During onshore time, you are participating in courses (on location or online) and you are attending operator events.

Critical competencies for success

  • Excellent communication skills in English;
  • Technical affinity and/or at least 3 years of offshore experience in a comparable position;
  • Experience in working with Electronics and/or Hydraulics;
  • Experience in an adaptive, high-demanding and service-minded environment.

Department

You are part of the Operator Department which is managed by the Crewing Department. The Crewing Department is responsible for all activities surrounding the general inflow but also the career flow of all operators. As part of the Crewing Department, the Crewing Coordinators are responsible for the planning and will serve as your point of contact.
