Software Engineer – Application Integration
We have a number of opportunities within our portfolio, depending on your existing skill set and future desires.
Any of the following would be considered as useful skills for our dept.
1. Development tools and technologies such as Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, RTC, Kubernetes, React
2. Programming languages, one of Go, Node, Java, C++
3. Knowledge of Containers, IBM Cloud or IBM Cloud Private,
4. Any experience or desire to work with the z/OS platform.

You'll be part of a tribe with a long standing, successful reputation in the Integration space with products such as WebSphere Message Broker, IBM Integration Bus and Cast Iron which have all now been brought under the IBM App Connect brand.
The goal of these offerings is to help clients connect and transfer data from any system to any other system - whether on-prem or on-cloud. In other words... to Integrate!
Our clients are Financial Institutions, Banks, Insurance brokers, in fact anyone who has a requirement to enrich or transform their information and data.
Our focus is now delivering these core value propositions into IBM’s Cloud offering, and to continue to excite our traditional Enterprise clients. We are working closely with IBM Design to deliver a range of capabilities targeted at key personas.
Work Location : IBM's Hursley Laboratory location near Winchester
The successful candidate will be based in IBM's world class facility inIBM Hursley Park, near Winchester. This is one of IBM's longest standing locations (recently celebrating 60 years),and largest software development Labs in Europe.
Located in the Hampshire Countryside, and only 10 minutes from historic and bustling Winchester, Hursley boasts a 3000 person strong team of technologists working on a vast range of products and projects across the IBM portfolio.
The offices are nestled into private parkland, and included amongst them is an original grand Queen Anne style country House, which forms an incredible backdrop for this established and respected community of technology experts.
Hursley receives continuous investment from IBM and the facilities on site include: a new gym, social areas, restaurant, games room, cafes, club house and bar, sports fields, sports hall, tennis courts, all set in beautiful grounds, which are ideal for a walk at lunch or enjoying a picnic in the summer.
Locally, there are excellent schools and transport links including, Southampton and Portsmouth ports and Southampton Airport. London is a little over an hour away from Winchester Train station, and the New Forest is nearby.
