Roles And Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to strengthen our hardware and embedded software development teams with state-of-the-art web based user interfaces and web based human machine interfaces. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on problem solver with a focus on web development on dedicated hardware platforms. You will contribute to the development, programming, implementation and testing of new applications based on computer vision and GNSS.

  • Create a secure, scalable and maintainable framework, using current web technologies to create a web interface that will be used on a range of different Fugro hardware products.
  • Create a UX with attention to visual communication and interaction design
  • Consider maintainability, extensibility and scalability in solutions.
  • Deliver robust, reliable, test-driven code against user stories in a timely manner.
  • Work within agile framework.
  • Be a team player, communicate openly and frequently with both local and remote development teams.
  • Solve technical and user problems.
  • Contribute to interface design of products on both high and low level.
  • The job focuses on web interface development tasks. The web interfaces will be hosted (however not exclusively) on resource-limited hardware running Linux, using a range of web languages, (HTML, CSS, JS, JSON) it will work across all modern browsers. The types of information will be in real-time, user configurable and graphical.


  • Master in Electronics, Computer Science or similar;
  • Experience with web UI design and implementation, mocking, agile development, unit testing and version control;
  • Experience with web-based HMI design from industrial automation would be advantageous
  • Programming skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL Server, XML, JSON;
  • Skills in TypeScript, ASP.Net (MVC/Web API or ASP.Net Core), SQL, C++ or C# are a plus;
  • Any knowledge in web automation testing is also highly beneficial;
  • Ability to take ownership of problems and deliver results;
  • Excellent communication skills, also in English.
