Hotels.com is growing its world class search marketing team and is looking for a candidate with a passion for online marketing and travel. The Digital Analyst is a key role in the team and will take responsibility for gathering actionable data, looking at performance metrics, site behaviour, and customer trends to drive optimization of search marketing campaigns.

What you'll do,

Overall management of search marketing campaigns globally:

  • Optimize Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns to maximize top line revenue within a given ROI target.
  • Drive Google, Bing, etc. traffic to Hotels.com and contribute to the development of search marketing strategy & process.
  • Customize ad copy messaging and landing page experiences.
  • Leverage huge data sets to identify and prioritize optimization opportunities.
  • Use Excel, SQL, Python, Google APIs etc. to analyze and manipulate data.
  • Rapidly test and learn across any and all dimensions of your SEM campaigns to drive overall campaign performance and influence global roadmap for the team.
  • Create and/or augment reporting dashboards to improve visibility into performance.
  • Leverage Tableau, Excel, Python, Google Analytics or other visualization tools.
  • Build ad hoc tools to streamline manual processes.
  • Provide automation teams with specifications for more fully automated solutions.
  • Maintain internal/external relationships with partners (Google/Bing), marketing, sales, product and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) teams on strategic initiatives.

Who you are

You’ll fit this role if you have

  • Undergraduate degree with quantitative focus required.
  • Graduate degree preferred e.g., business analytics, engineering, finance, computer science, etc.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical skills, including data manipulation, financial analysis and processing large amounts of data to understand trends and make decisions.
  • Expert level knowledge of Excel; Proficiency in PowerPivot, Python, Microsoft VBA and/or SQL preferred.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and interest in solving problems, particularly in understanding how consumers make decisions.
  • Excellence in implementation, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • No prior SEM experience needed, but must be interested in data-driven online marketing.
  • Fluent in English, additional language a plus
