Job Description

As our new Green Coffee Sourcing Analyst, you will support day-to-day raw material green coffee procurement operations through contract management and associated general administrative duties. In addition as a member of the buying team you will aid decision making with analytics of existing purchased positions, market conditions and other commercial and industry insights.

Within Coffee and Tea Sourcing, based in Utrecht, we source green coffee and tea and we ensure timely delivery to our factories worldwide. We integrate all key business processes from our suppliers to factories, providing products, services and information that add value for our stakeholders. We manage sourcing & buying, supply chain (warehousing & logistics) and planning processes to ensure optimal alignment between demand and supply at a global scale, taking into account efficiency, required flexibility, security of supply.

Furthermore; in this role you will be exposed to the dynamics and mechanics of the global green coffee trade , preparing you for a next step into a buying role. Our buyers are expected to be hands-on experts with specific and specialized knowledge about all facets of green coffee from farm to factory.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have a Bachelor’s degree and about 1-2 years in a commercial business role. Prior experience with SAP and contract management software are considered beneficial.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are fluent in English (being multilingual is an asset). Strong analytical abilities supported by an advanced understanding of MS Excel including macros, pivot table and graphing as well as PowerPoint is required. A process driven orientation and the ability to work under-pressure for multiple stakeholders is central to the role as is a willingness to learn and a natural inquisitive nature.
