Functiebeschrijving:

Are you excited to work for Galileo, the European satellite navigation program? Do you have a strong interest in managing the licenses and the obsolescence for both the client project and the IT environments of the project teams?

Your day to day activities

As a License & Obsolescence Manager in our team, you will be working on a Mission Critical System that is part of the Galileo infrastructure. At part of the team you will contribute to the security aspects and data protection of this navigation mission. Your main task will be to manage and maintain the software licenses for both the client project (mainly COTS) and the licenses for the complex (internal) IT environments of the project teams which involve both classified and unclassified environments. It is crucial that you ensure compliance with the relevant software license agreements and that license administration is proper and up to date at all times. When you observe that licenses will become obsolete in the near future, you will initiate contract change notices which involves both alignment with the vendor (including sending out requests for proposal and purchase order negotiation with and award to the subject vendor) and with the client. You will issue and discuss commercial proposals with the client and you will assure the licenses can be procured by the client well ahead of the planned date of obsolescence of the subject license. As part of your job you will be responsible for the configuration management of the license database, for maintaining up to date records of software support agreements, for developing and maintaining relevant procedures and for conducting audits including follow up of any resulting findings.

Things you need to be successful

You are well-organized, energetic and have a high level of attention to detail. You have advanced analytic skills and are a quick learner. You have experience with software license management (including obsolescence management, vendor and client engagement), are inquisitive and able to pro-actively secure compliance with relevant license and software support agreements. You also have:

• A Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Information Technology, or equivalent; technical affinity and understanding is required;

• Experience with software license management / IT Asset Management;

• Experience in dealing with international software vendors;

• Strong understanding of Oracle license model structures;

• Experience in setting up and maintaining license and compliance management in demanding client environments.

Your working environment

CGI delivers complex, mission-critical space software systems across Europe, Asia and North America, supporting programs from satellite navigation, communications and operations, to space-enabled applications. Galileo is Europe’s own global satellite system and currently consists of a constellation of 22 satellites. It is capable of providing a highly accurate, guaranteed global positioning service under civilian control. The system is still under development and has recently entered the Exploitation Phase.

We want to get the best out of you

Working for CGI will bring you an exciting and a challenging work floor with professional colleagues and you are the building block within a close-community. We encourage you in your development and offer you plenty of room for this. Your growth is self-evident.
