With growth comes the need to make more efficient and data-driven decisions throughout the entire company. We are looking for a Data Operations Lead who can guide the analytics team on the best practices when it comes to data governance, management, and manipulation.

The analytics team was formed at the beginning of 2018, with the main goal of helping every part of the business making the right decisions by providing (automated) insights and recommendations based on our available data. With the growing demand for analytical insights, the team is currently growing fast. You will be the go-to person for data requirements, someone who is not afraid to dive into complex data, and help the team solve difficult problems with data. You will be the lead in managing the analytics data pipeline from raw unprocessed data to serving layers for applications, BI, and other data tooling. You will also get the opportunity to mentor and guide a younger team of analysts on the best practices in your domain. Communication with cross functional stakeholders will also be key. Therefore it is of utmost importance that you can translate the needs of the business into clear data requirements for you and the rest of the team.

Leading and participating in the development and maintenance of systems that help enable the effective use of data throughout the organizationStructuring databases & data processing queries in organized and efficient waysEnsuring processes are in place to manage data quality, completeness, and accuracy to support operational excellenceStructuring databases & data processing queries in organized and efficient waysCreating/maintaining a strategy for how we make data governance a strategic asset.Working with stakeholders to ensure that data complies with rules, either from inside or outside the companyLeading the company in adopting best practices related to data usage

You’re the person we need if you have:

Proven experience in the field of data operations / governance (e.g. IT management, consulting or computer systems analysis)3+ years working experience with data manipulation techniques/languages – SQL, SCALA, Hive, or other similar techniquesSome experience with cloud platforms - data storage and analytics Some experience of database design and architectureAbility to understand concrete business challenges in the context of data operations & drive towards making business impactExcellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders at all levelsAn analytical, detail-oriented mindsetNot afraid to get your hands dirty in solving the needs of the businessEager to learn and evolve within a growing organizationCertificates in enterprise level data modelling and governing are an advantage but not essential.
