We are offering you an exciting opportunity to join our team of Engineers. PH Jones are part of British Gas with 50 years’ experience providing Gas and Electrical Installation and repair to our customers. We pride ourselves in delivering an excellent and Safe customer service.

Our cover for home electrics protects our customers electrical wiring and fixtures when they stop working properly. Whether the problem’s a damaged fuse board, a faulty light fitting or their full electrical system, they’ll be able to call out one of our engineers to fix it…… are you one of those experts??

The Role

Your role will be a busy one repairing the electrical wiring and fittings both inside and outside of our domestic customer’s properties. A high standard of workmanship is a must whilst completing repairs in a timely manner as well as working as part of a team.

You will take a proactive approach to health and safety with the aim of creating a safe environment for all.  You will be keen to offer a high-quality customer service and minimize disruption to the customer where possible.

  • Your company must be LTD status and be registered with one of the following:

             NICEIC / ELECSA / NAPIT /STROMA / Blue Flame / BESCA / OFTEC  (England)

             SELECT or NICEIC (SBSA)(Scotland Only)

  • Experience of electrical installation and fixings repair and fault finding within domestic properties
  • Demonstrable good planning, organizing and self-management skills
  • Following a successful initial recruitment session, which will include a technical assessment, you will then complete a business induction.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work alone and as part of a team
  • A full UK driver’s license
  • Own van with cover for business use
  • £2m Public liability and £5m Employer liability insurance
  • Own tools and calibrated test equipment
  • Competitive rates of pay and regular work
  • Uniform and a small range of stock to supplement your own
