Job Description

The field services Engineer will be responsible for providing a first class service for the Eaton installed base products to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and loyalty. They will be responsible for commissioning, preventive maintenance and product repairs.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

• Continued high levels of customer satisfaction

• A flexible attitude to work

• Attend and understand engineer training

• Achieve appropriate first time fix rate.

• Adhere to anti-static procedures

• Adhere to Eaton’s Life Saving Rules

• Adhere to Eaton’s Code of Ethics

• Implement field re-engineering programs

• Identify and assist in Key accounts

• Provide an efficient feedback path technical and commercial

• Refer business leads

• All parts returned within 5 working days

Qualifications

PRE-REQUISITE SKILL LEVEL

HNC, or higher, in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

Three phase electrical installation or maintenance experience essential.

Good understanding of switch panels and power distribution.

Ability to understand system connection drawings.

Understanding of power electronics, rectifiers & inverters.

Understanding fault finding techniques

Experience with HMI (Human Machine Interface) software and power monitoring software packages.

Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP an advantage

Programming of PLC control systems (Power Control, Generator Control, SCADA, or process control) an advantage

Experience / Understanding of high voltage battery systems an advantage.

Health and Safety training an advantage.
