What does this role involve?

The Senior Shopper Manager is leading the development and execution of the shopper marketing strategy and annual plans of our Savoury brands (Lay’s, Duyvis, Doritos, Cheetos, Sunbreaks & Snack a Jacks) for both Belgium and The Netherlands, working in close collaboration with colleagues from Brand Management, Sales, Field, Category Management, Procurement, Finance and Logistics.

You will create value by the integration of insights (consumer, shopper and customer) with brand- and customer strategies in order to develop customer, consumer and shopper omnichannel communication solutions for our brands in retail as well as in priority Away From Home channels. You will coach and manage a great Benelux shopper marketing team of 5 direct reports (category & customer shopper marketeers as well as a channel activation manager AFH). You will report into the Head of Marketing Savoury Benelux. Moreover, you will be responsible for raising the shopper marketing capabilities within the business unit, working hand in hand with the PepsiCo European center of excellence.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Lead the development and excellence in execution of the shopper marketing strategy and calendars (national, customer specific, AFH) to achieve business and marketing objectives;
  • Define shopper marketing budget during AOP and manage it throughout the year;
  • Master and leverage insight led shopper marketing expertise of effective communication;
  • Monitor, evaluate and maximize effectiveness and efficiency of shopper marketing solutions;
  • Build strong savoury brands in key AFH strategic channels;
  • Manage, assess, brief and build relationship with key creative agencies and suppliers;
  • Master internal and external processes to ensure project are delivered on time and look for productivity improvements;
  • Proactive tracking of the business performance of the brands and adjust/develop plans based on situation together with key stakeholders;
  • Lead annual negotiations with key Benelux retailer media agencies;
  • Manage cross-functional stakeholders through effective communication and alignments, ensure key information is shared with management to support effective decision making;
  • Key point of contact for cross-category procurement shopper marketing related topics;
  • Develop, coach and shape for success the savoury shopper marketing team;
  • Raise shopper marketing capabilities within the organization in collaboration with COE
