We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Strategic Planning & Pricing Yield Manager to join our team based in our central London offices in the heart of Soho. As part of the CNN International Commercial team, the Strategic Planning team partners with various commercial and functional teams to ascertain, assess and support expected performance of our business and safeguards revenue in the short and long term.

Working closely with the Director of Strategic Planning, the Manager will be responsible for providing proactive analytical and strategic insights that drive revenue growth by identifying advertising revenue opportunities through inventory pricing analysis, utilization and predictive modelling.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead yield management efforts to optimize revenue across channels, including factoring in the impact of programmatic revenue
  • Investigate, test and develop yield strategies and integrate seamlessly within sales process
  • Educate sales teams on yield techniques to improve their selling performance
  • Develop recommendation on rate card for digital ad products
  • Develop, analyse, and distribute key business metric reporting and insights to monitor overall yield and pricing performance, on an ongoing basis
  • Develop and deploy suite of reports to inform the sales team about product inventory availability
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests and conduct analysis to provide valuable insights
  • Communicate and work effectively across various levels of internal teams

What we’re looking for:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Access database skills and familiarity with reporting systems
  • Excellent data analysis, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines
  • Proactive
  • Relevant experience at either a digital media agency or digital media owner
  • Hands-on experience in online advertising, pricing and yield management
  • Experience working with online advertising platforms such as DFP a plus
  • Fluent with Microsoft office (particularly PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Accounting/Finance related degree; CIMA or ACA qualified
