The Bedbank business unit is leading Hotelbeds Group charge to reshape travel. It contracts, connects and efficiently distributes a differentiated portfolio of +100,000 hotels to leading travel trade industry partners including online travel agencies (OTAs), retail agencies, tour operators and airlines. Our main Bedbank brands include Hotelbeds, Bedsonline, Hotelopia, Travel Partner Brasil, Room & Go, JBS and Easymarket.This position sits within our Bedbank unit.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a home based sales executive to maintain and grow relationships with our customers mainly by phone and e-mail, while also working towards achieving targets concerning low potential clients. You will be analyzing the evolution of assigned clients in order to increase their sales via new products, new segments, new rates, etc. and also generate market interest and close sales by completing e-registration clients (reactive acquisition).

Ideally you will be an experienced sales consultant or executive with knowledge of the travel industry from a travel agency background, and will be used to generating revenue directly supporting the overall regions growth. Excellent at building long term trusted relationships and providing revenue generating solutions in an expert and friendly manner. You will be self-motivated and used to working towards targets and KPI’s you will be joining the market leader in this sector and will be rewarded with a competitive package within a structured supportive team. Most important is your desire to succeed and contribute.

Key responsibilities:

  • Acquisition of e-registration clients (reactive acquisition) and transfer to Sales Manager for them to do the first approach in order to assign Segmentation.
  • Follow up low potential and long tail accounts to meet sales targets.
  • Update sales activities using the Salesforce CRM system (calls, opportunities)
  • 50 visits per year to the top 5-10% accounts (to be reviewed)
  • 60 calls per week to existing/new clients to develop long-trusted relationships(to be reviewed)
  • Analyze KPIs and client pack to look for new opportunities within existing clients
  • Managing a portfolio of approximately 650 accounts
  • Assist clients in the most important operational issues: in house queries
  • Involvement in trade events and fairs

Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Possess a Diploma or Professional Degree (not a requirement)
  • Minimum of 3 years sales experience in the travel industry, ideally with travel agents contacts.
  • Fluent English
  • PC proficiency
  • An excellent sales track record can substitute for lack of academic qualifications.
  • Excellent knowledge of sales management in a hospitality set up.
  • Strong computer literacy and basic understanding of some technical solutions used by sales companies especially Sales Force (preferred)
  • Excellent communication. High degree of interpersonal skills and ability to interact at a high level. Dynamic, outgoing personality, self-motivated, resourceful, highly independent, innovative, creative with high degree of customer service and result oriented.
  • Intermediate Microsoft skills (excel)
