As a Global Workforce Consultant you start your career at ORTEC with a one-year traineeship. During this year you will see four different aspects of product consultancy and implementation, where you get to know the different sort of projects we work with, get familiar with our workforce scheduling software solutions, and support the use of our product both internally and externally.

Our Workforce products are user-friendly systems that provides a total solution to the challenge of planning work activities for thousands of employees at hundreds of customers in different sorts of markets, such as in Healthcare, Public and Professional Services or Logistics. In your role you have to take into account all sorts of conditions, such as laws and regulations and the human aspect.

You are the linking pin between the customer and the developers from ORTEC. You are involved within the full implementation cycle, translating the customer process to the ORTEC Workforce Scheduling solution. Understanding the customer needs is key, since you will be the one configuring the application together with the rest of the team. Guiding and training the users during customer visits is also part of your job. This makes the role as consultant very dynamic since you’re both working with a high-end optimization solution, and you communicate directly with the end users.

Taking ownership is key in this role: together with the key players you are responsible for the complete implementation cycle. As a team, you make sure that we deliver what we promised.

You will be working in a team of experts supporting teams around the world (in short- or long-term engagements) and you get the opportunity to perform your job from different offices abroad. It is very important you are able to share your knowledge with colleagues worldwide. You will also be working on projects in the Netherlands (especially during the start of your career).

Who you are

You have a Master degree with technical background and because we are looking for an entry level colleague you have up to 2 years of working experience.

Furthermore you have/are

  • willing to travel and work internationally
  • have high analytic level and the ability to translate towards solutions
  • are creative and enthusiastic about sharing your ideas and know-how
  • a true team player
  • communicative and motivated by client focus and contact
  • able to fluently communicate in English (verbally and in writing)
  • Dutch communication skills are an advantage
  • some knowledge or an interest to learn more about SQL, XSL and/or XML
