The Exciting Opportunity

We are seeking a creative, dynamic and engaging Chartered Landscape Architect to strengthen our expanding team at Principal Level. You will have a wide range of experience in Landscape Architecture, Environmental, Regeneration and Infrastructure projects and be passionate and highly motivated about your role in the natural and built environment. Ideally you will be skilled in both landscape and urban design and have experience of landscape assessment work, with demonstrable report writing and communication skills.

You will have the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s largest, most complex and technically demanding developments. These currently include Green Infrastructure strategies and Landscape Masterplanning for some of the UK’s largest residential and mixed-use developments such as:

  • NW Bicester Eco development
  • Northstowe new town
  • Otterpool Park Garden Settlement, together with
  • Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) such as Lower Thames Crossing.

We have equally exciting smaller projects and, together, present a rich and varied portfolio of projects and clients including at national and local levels, and in both the private and public sector. We offer the full spectrum of Landscape Architecture services from concept through to implementation, typically working within exciting multi-disciplinary teams that involve other in-house disciplines and high-profile designers. Overview of Role:

Working within the UK Landscape Architecture team and reporting to an Associate Technical Director, you will have the ability to manage projects for small developments as well as work as part of a team on more complex commissions. You will be a strong designer, with an ability to sketch and draw to convey ideas and concepts, as well as experience of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments and environmental statements. As we operate in such a diverse marketplace, we can safely say that you will gain an experience of working on a wide and varied portfolio of projects which will enhance your skills and grow your technical knowledge.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Undertaking site surveys, data analysis and baseline reviews
  • Producing and contributing towards landscape and urban design work for a wide range of developments
  • Undertaking and supporting landscape and public realm design, from concept to
  • Site inspections and Contract Administration of landscape and public realm construction projects
  • Undertaking and supporting landscape and visual impact assessments and report writing
  • Providing inputs to multi-disciplinary studies and environmental assessments
  • Supporting in meetings with clients and stakeholders as well as working with other disciplines and consultants on projects
  • Leading and Managing small projects and coordination of supporting services.

What You have to Offer:

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture or closely related subject
  • Diploma in Landscape Architecture or closely related subject
  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
  • Delivery focused & commercial awareness
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with fee tendering and bidding
  • Ability to work independently and in the team
  • Enthusiasm to be part of growing the business
  • Travel flexibility
  • Working in a multi-disciplinary consulting environment
