Introduction

The teamleader is responsible for leading the team of production planners and is accountable for the team results. The Production Planning department is responsible for planning of the Module workcenters within the Twinscan factory. The team of Production Planners report to the Production planning team lead and works closely with specialists in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Cleanroom Logistics, Product lifecycle management and Customer Supply Chain management.

Job Mission

Ensure operational planning of production orders for the shop floor Twinscan Factory to ensure on time delivery against requested demand. Provide ready to execute detailed plans based on all constraints, actual work in progress and buffer status on daily base.

Job Description

-In charge of group of planners and accountable for factory planning

-Leading and supporting the Team. Sets priorities of activities of the entire team

-Coach and perform Individual performance management

-Monitor planning KPI’s against Aspirations and adjust planning decisions

-Balance work packages per planner against job level and personal interest (Operational/CI/Personal Development)

-Secure knowledge continuity through managing personal Development Action Plans

-Set / perform / monitor / report Continuous Improvement

-Manage skill development and optimize employability. Perform skill assessments and create trainings plans

-Prepare, carry out and monitoring vision and mission with linked departments

-Norm review, make budget via CRP model to realize the agreed targets

-Set up standards and values and monitor a good atmosphere (internally/externally)

-Creating Production plans: transforming the master production plan (MPS), (service) forecast and other demand, into a feasible module start plan.

-Managing the logistics flow of materials within the factory, by correct prioritizing of production orders and initiating warehouse requisitions.

-Balancing stock levels and the work in progress of makes to an optimum, without compromising timely delivery.

-New Product Introduction: Ensure the know how in the group to support the development and introduction of new/changed products in the manufacturing processes in order to prepare and guide. Participate in the introduction of new/changed products/processes/material flows/tools

-Trouble Shoot/Support: Ensure problem solving of escalated issues. Ensure proper solutions, or necessary follow up actions. Ensure initiation of support of other departments, monitor follow up.

-Improvement: Ensure proposing and attuning of improvements. Initiate actions of the own group and/or other departments in order to ensure the proper implementation. Evaluate the effects of these actions/improvements

-Cooperation: Manage the cooperation and harmony in the group and between the different departments by giving support, finding solutions and sharing information.

-Management: Manage a proper staffing of the group, a good work atmosphere and applying of Human Resource policies and procedures. Guide the Production Planning activities. Manage the workload, set priorities and assure timely and correct execution of all department tasks, solve bottle necks.

Education

Relevant Master degree is a must (e.g Industrial Engineering & Management Science, Business Administration, Supply chain or Engineering).

Experience

-3-5 years of TL experience

-Affinity with the production related areas and business processes

-Experience in project management, quality systems, -methods

-Experienced in problem analysis and production processes, asses solutions on feasibility and impact on the total process

-Broad logistical and business knowledge

-Has affinity with different production strategies (MRP, Kanban, etc)

Personal skills

-Leadership skills, drive for results, act under high pressure

-Creates to a positive and productive work environment by searching for solutions and ideas and giving input and assures a certain level of flexibility

-Good networking skills, able to work at multiple levels of the organization, from team members on the shop-floor to Senior Managers

-Analytic, structuring persistence on available information. Delivers fact-based and well-structured messages in a range of different formats, e.g. presentation, written messages. Business English both spoken and written is required

-The ability to enthuse colleagues in Lean Thinking as a business necessity

-Detailed oriented self-starter, process minded, hands-on

-Teamwork, good social skills, service attitude.

-Coordinate groups of employees from different levels of education.

-Has the ability to support, motivate and develop employees
