The Original Equipment division supports the design, application, development and project management activities for automotive components used by all UK vehicle/engine manufacturers. The Project Management Engineering role gives students the opportunity to work in the Ford customer team for Powertrain Systems, which involves close liaison with our customers and Bosch technical support and manufacturing facilities throughout the world. This position is based in the Bosch Mayne House office in Basildon, Essex.

Job Description

Your contribution to something big

  • Working with project management engineers to consolidate test and product release plans
  • Involvement in quality claim process
  • Tracking of prototype orders
  • Involvement in commercial topics i.e. tracking of payments
  • Organisation and involvement in regular customer meetings
  • Preparation of Bosch internal and customer presentations

Qualifications

What distiguishes you

  • You should be studying for a degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Engineering
  • Excellent communication and written English skills
  • Have a keen interest in the Automotive industry e.g. vehicles and electronic control systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and a team player
  • Mobility to allow being based at Basildon
  • Full driving licence and German language skills – beneficial

Please note that we would like you to start in August 2019 for a 12-month Internship. This position is open to undergraduates who are required to partake in a work placement as part of their degree course. Before applying for this vacancy, you must inform your Faculty/School Placement Officer. If your Faculty/School does not have a Placement Officer, you must inform your Course Tutor. This is important because there may be the need for the employer to be verified by the University to ensure that, where applicable, the position can be credited to your degree.
