We currently have an opening for a Staffing Manager who will be responsible for the allocation of work and deployment of associates to maximise effectiveness and support personal development. The Staffing Manager will have responsibility for allocating work to around 100 fee-earners across a number of different practice areas and product specialisations, within the Financial Markets Group, Corporate, L&DR and TPE. You will develop an in-depth knowledge of the business and provide advice and guidance to lawyers as well as management and HR on staffing and resourcing issues to ensure headcount is appropriately managed to deliver plans.
Responsibilities will include acting as the main point of contact for the practice areas delivering day to day deployment requirements based on available data and (system information). You will also work together with You will report to the Head of Human Resources and will have a dotted line to the Practice Area Leaders and the General Manager.
Success in the role will be the ability to understand the client matters and resources requirements for matters and transactions, whilst identifying appropriate workloads for associates incorporating career development goals where possible.

Your experience will have been gained in a large to mid-size commercial environment, ideally Professional Services. It is essential for you to have experience of professional career development or training or alternatively an in-depth understanding of the legal environment and the skills and personal attributes necessary to succeed in the legal profession.
You will be confident and willing to engage with all levels of staff and partners. You will need a high attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. You will be proactive and be able to demonstrate new initiatives you have implemented. You will have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
