Description of the job

The maintenance engineer specialists have regular contact with the airlines and aviation authorities worldwide. These specialists answer technical customer queries to support our customer airline fleets.
In this role you will manage customer queries from operators, which involves producing and presenting technical documents to the airline and authorities. You will also investigate the role and requirements applicable to maintenance programmes engineering for Landing Gear, Structures and Systems.
To review and optimise the maintenance programs for Fuel systems, Wing structure and Landing Gear according to design changes, regulation changes and in service experience feedback using Maintenance Steering Group (MSG-3) industry standards and data analysis tools.
To present those outputs by interfacing directly to Aviation Authorities and Customers by attending Maintenance Working Groups and Industry Steering Committees and Contribute to projects that enhance the maintenance program for the customer support services sector.
To establish and deliver (for all Airbus commercial aircraft programmes) timely and consistent solutions to the daily queries raised by the Airline customers.
To ensure regular revisions of the Maintenance program, specifically Provide support for Direct Maintenance Costs reductions.
To support operators for any maintenance program related matter.
Tasks & accountabilities
Learn how Airbus maintenance and engineering programs operate within the Airbus organisation.
Work directly with the maintenance engineering specialists on a variety of projects concerning maintenance of Landing Gear, Fuel Systems and Wing Structure.
Develop an understanding of aircraft maintenance and the relationships with the aviation regulations.
Understand the challenges of meeting customer requirements via answering queries.
This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
Required skills
You must be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement, studying towards an engineering degree, preferably in
Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or Data Analytics.
Essential:
An understanding of aircraft systems and structure
Competent user of the basic Microsoft Office programmes
Excellent Interpersonal skills
