Horizon Teachers is currently working with a well-known mixed secondary school in the heart of Waltham Forest who are looking for an enthusiastic graduate to join their highly successful staffing team.
The school is a mixed 11-16 non-selective school for the local community and they are representative of the community they serve, they are an inclusive school and whilst diverse, every pupil is known for who they are and the richness of their character.
The post holders will work under guidance from the SenCo (Special educational needs coordinator) and HLTAs within an agreed system of supervision to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups with ASC needs in or out the classroom.
Noted in their latest Ofsted report ‘Pupils’ personal development, behaviour and welfare are good, they enjoy being part of the strong inclusive school community and have confidence in each other, effective provision is in place for pupils with a statement of special educational needs and for those with an education, health and care plan, the headteacher has been relentless in driving improvement over the last three years, As a result the quality of teaching is increasingly strong and pupils are making rapid progress’.
