Let us be part of your next chapter....

Join our Graduate Scheme and experience the development of a Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work For.

We are looking to create tomorrow’s industry leaders through a scheme that provides further education along a long side real business experience. Bright minds, sparky individuals and innovative thinkers will be high on our criteria as we fast track talented individuals to key management roles. The aim is to place you as an entry level Assistant Manager, at the end of your Graduate programme.

What will my initial training look like?

To fully equip you on your management journey you will embark on a bespoke craft focused foundation, actively working alongside our team, based on your personal experience and taking in all our departments:

  • Restaurant and wine service
  • Bar service and management
  • Kitchen
  • Housekeeping and sales

During this craft phase, you will also complete your Oakmanology pathway, mandatory management training and WSET 1 course. We would fully expect you to be supervising teams and stepping into Duty Management roles as you progress.

When is the intake period?

We are keen to discuss Graduate opportunities throughout the year as we have no set time to commence.

What qualifications are you seeking?

For Oakman Inns, we are seeking Graduates from any discipline with a predicted or confirmed result of at least a 2:2.

We would also need to see your work experience within a service environment and ideally this would include within the hospitality arena.

More-over you would match our Values in terms of being caring, flexible in your approach, a great service attitude and a strong desire to succeed in a challenging environment.

Due to the flexible nature of your training and accessing sites that are not on public transport routes you will have; or be in the process of gaining, your own transport and a driving licence that allows you to drive in the UK. Support can be considered in regard to accommodation.

What hours will I be working?

Oakman Inns operate in the heart of the hospitality industry offering guest service 365 days a year. We offer our hospitality from early breakfast through to late evening depending on the day of the week and time of the year.

Working with us is not a 9 to 5 role as flexible shifts are the order of the day. This means you can balance your personal life with your training – but be prepared that weekends and evenings will form part of your rota.

Why should I choose Oakman Inns?

We are a company in growth, so we are keen to secure our future management teams – you will be part of our next chapter.

We are recognised by our industry peers and The Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work. We also offer team benefits that include discounted meals in our venues, cycle2work scheme, annual festival, gifting scheme and competitive management benefits once you step into your first role.

How much will I be paid?

Our Graduates commence on a salary circa £19000 per annum with a clear wage structure as you move into management.

Sounds great – how do I apply?

To apply please send your Covering Letter and CV, marked for the attention of Jill Scatchard, HR Director, Oakman Inns via our recruitment website.
