You build relationships quickly and effortlessly and have a real desire for a career in a client-facing role. You're professional and personable, intelligent and analytical. You're a solution-provider, with a passion for providing platinum customer service.

Our team

On the Analytics Help Desk, our clients always come first. We provide round-the-clock support for Bloomberg Terminal users all over the world and across multiple industries. We interact directly with clients via our 'Instant Bloomberg' chat system, solving their queries and conducting training.

We’re a calm voice in a busy, volatile market. Our clients rely on us to help them make better, faster decisions using the power of the Bloomberg Terminal. On any given day we respond to over 12,000 queries in more than 15 languages.

The variety of the problems we solve is incredible. One moment, we could be working with a Portfolio Manager who’s worried about risk. We show her how to use the Risk Analytics platform to find the most volatile securities in her holdings. The next - we may be chatting to a trader who needs help understanding the liquidity profile of two potential investments. We teach him how to size them up against each other.

What's in it for you?

Our long-term internship is an exciting opportunity to spend 6 months working in the French or German speaking team of our London Analytics department, where you’ll be responsible for providing the best possible user experience for our Bloomberg Terminal clients.

In advance of joining your team, you’ll spend 10 weeks in a comprehensive classroom based training programme, learning about all aspects of the financial markets - economic principles, market players and asset classes - while teaching you all there is to know about the functionality and analytical tools the Bloomberg Terminal has to offer.

Having benefited from the excellent training, you’ll have a solid foundation of knowledge which will enable you to deal directly with our clients. As well as answering their questions, you’ll make valuable contributions by taking part in calling campaigns to promote new functionality and features of our core product, the Bloomberg Terminal. Hands-on projects will allow you to experience how your full-time career could evolve.

Throughout the internship, you'll be supported by your line manager, buddy and your recruiter to ensure you receive regular feedback on your work and have the support and guidance you need to navigate the company.

Where can this role take me?

Should you perform well in the internship, you could be made a permanent offer to join us upon graduation the following year. In a full time role, you’ll have the opportunity to specialise in the asset classes which are most interesting to you. You’ll develop the soft skills required for a client facing role and all the while, we’ll support you with a thorough and rigorous training plan, to equip you with the knowledge you will need to better understand the financial markets, our products and the clients you will be supporting.

A full time role in Analytics will allow you many career advancement opportunities. You could focus on a specific area within the financial markets (like fixed income or equities) and become an advanced specialist. You could also move to support the clients of our trading solutions and learn a whole new product. You could also move to our Sales department to start selling the Terminal, or perhaps move into a management role, leading a team. The opportunities we can give you are vast and varied.
