The Department

Ampelmann has set the international standard in safe offshore access, but this is not where our ambition stops. Innovation is one of the pillars of the company. At a high pace we develop new offshore systems such as compensated cranes, a transfer system for smaller (non-DP) ships and much, much more. The Engineering Department is the innovative core of the company. Our engineers have their base at the Delft headquarters, but are also out there, offshore and onshore to test and demonstrate the safety and integrity of our systems.

What we are looking for?

A Junior Motion Control Engineer is responsible for the control system design and implementation of smaller innovation projects and works together with a senior engineer in larger projects. This entails entire system designs, from concept to commissioning. Work is always done in a multidisciplinary project team and in close cooperation with our suppliers.

We ask

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical, Maritime, Offshore, Aeronautical Engineering or similar, a Master in System & Control is an asset (not a prerequisite)
  • Affinity with the offshore industry
  • 0-2 years working experience
  • Analytical skills and ability to remain overview
  • A solution- and result driven approach
  • A flexible team player
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, spoken and written
