Graduate Academic Mentor – Pupil Premium

  • Paid £300-£325 per week

This school is keen to support their Pupil Premium students, therefore you will mainly be working with groups of students who are entitled to additional funding and may need that extra push to achieve their academic and personal potential. You will be following the class teacher and creating your own lesson plans, which are tailored to the specific needs and abilities of the focus groups of pupils you are working with.

You will need to be passionate about supporting the development of all pupils’ academic, social and emotional development and be able to enthuse and motivate students who have low levels of confidence and are disengaged from lessons. High levels of patience and enthusiasm are required at all times. If you are creative and have an understanding of learning through using practical resources, then you this role is for you! It is essential that you have a strong academic background, a minimum of a 2:1 degree in a core subject.
