We are a residential property group with a social purpose. Our vision is to improve people’s lives through high quality homes and services. Whilst we take a commercial approach to house building, we reinvest all of our profits into building more new homes and supporting the communities where we work.

We provide affordable, private and social rented homes, student, NHS and temporary accommodation, as well as supported housing and homes for older people. We also offer high-quality sustainable homes for sale and shared ownership, available through our FABRICA by A2Dominion brand. Whilst we take a commercial approach to house building, all of the surpluses the Group generates are reinvested into supporting our social purpose, helping to deliver more homes and services for customers.

This is an exciting time to join A2Dominion and be part of the Group’s £20m change programme, Fit for the Future, which is transforming the way we work and significantly improving the services we deliver to our customers.

The role

As part of the Property Services department, you will be directly developing and delivering our cyclical maintenance programmes including major works projects, to time, budget, quality and resident satisfaction. You will be expected to inspect and undertake desktop surveys to record and capture information on the Group's building stock, especially external, communal and estate related components. You will be expected to have excellent communication skills as this role will require you to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and others as required.

There will be a requirement to undertake consultations with tenants, customers and staff in order that projects can be designed to incorporate their views.

To be successful you will need to possess an ONC/HNC in building surveying or a similar discipline. It is necessary that you have a good knowledge and grasp of building regulations and statutory requirements. We are looking for you to have some awareness of how frameworks within which RSL’s operate. If you have previous experience of managing cyclical and/or major works programmes to resident’s homes in a Social Housing Partnering Environment then that would be great.

Please note the successful candidate upon joining the business will have official job title of Cyclical Surveyor as opposed to Asset Surveyor. This is because current staff within the business have the same job title and we have changed the job title purely on the basis of trying to recruit applicants for the role.

Rewards and Benefits

As an employee of A2Dominion, we want you to feel fairly rewarded and have a choice of flexible benefits, salary exchange benefits, and rewards and discounts that work for you, wherever you are in your life. All permanent members of staff receive a generous annual allowance of up to £300 to use towards health and lifestyle benefits for both you and your family. You are also provided with discounted childcare vouchers and cycling equipment throughout the year, and you pay for them by monthly salary deductions. On top of all of this you will also receive 25 days annual leave.

A2Dominion is a residential property group with a social purpose; our vision is to improve people's lives through high-quality homes and services.
We have over 37,000 homes across London and Southern England and nearly 8,000 more on the way. By reinvesting the profit from the sale and rent of high-quality, sustainable private homes, we are able to subsidise affordable and supported housing for students, key workers, families on low income, and vulnerable or older people.
