In corporate tax, you'll be working with large corporations to understand their complex and ever changing tax needs. This group look at ensuring our clients are operating within the law whilst at the same time minimising their tax obligations. You'll need to have the confidence and credibility to work with multi nationals and private limited companies across their global and local operations.

Job Description:

As a school leaver in corporate tax, you'll join us on a five year programme right at the heart of business. You'll join our higher apprenticeship programme for the first two years and continue on for an additional three years to become a professional qualified business adviser.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll get challenging on-the-ground experience in the two parts of tax advice – compliance and consultancy. Compliance is about helping clients meet their existing tax commitments and consultancy is about helping them operate in a more tax-efficient manner to make and save money
  • You'll be carrying out technical research, producing tax computations, preparing tax returns, advising clients on their tax requirements and negotiating with HM Revenue & Customs
  • You'll keep up to date with an monitor developments in UK and International tax regulation
  • You'll become triple qualified throughout your time as a trainee; you'll study towards becoming AAT qualified in your first two years of your apprenticeship. You'll also achieve a diploma in business. You'll then go on to study towards becoming ACA, CTA or ATT qualified so that you have the technical expertise and insight to advise our client
