Job Purpose:

To support the Senior Finance Manager in the management of the consolidation process, financial reporting and technical accounting tasks.

Principal Accountabilities:

Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Consolidation of group financial accounts including calculating, booking and tracking consolidation adjustments

• Owning the intra-group accounting process, ensuring the correct application of the group’s transfer pricing arrangements.

• Preparation of financial statements

• Ensuring the accuracy, quality, and consistency of financial data

• Ensuring financial accounts are prepared in accordance with IFRS standards

• Producing technical accounting papers

• Managing, updating, and writing accounting policies

• Supporting the planning and co-ordination of the month end, quarterly and year end reporting process

• Ad-hoc support with technical accounting and reporting issues

• Documenting and communicating group internal controls

• Supporting the external audit process, interacting with the audit team and providing relevant documentation

Important Working Relationships:

• Group Financial Accountant, Senior Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller

• Liaising with regional finance teams in business subsidiaries

Knowledge, skills & Experience Required:

• Qualified or part qualified accountant (Preferably ACA or ACCA)

• Experience of working in a group finance department or accountancy practice

• Experience of complex group consolidations

• Thorough understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP financial accounts

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Knowledge of HFM or other consolidation tool (not required but beneficial)
