Legal Counsel Competition Law

We are seeking a highly competent Competition Law Specialist to join our team and support the Head of Competition Law in providing specialist legal advice and identifying potential risks. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional M&A deal teams and commercial counsels, develop the Expert Competition Law Group, and review and update the competition law portal.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide autonomous, specialist competition law advice to the business and legal colleagues on a global basis.
  • Provide competition law advice and support during negotiations and contracts, including new routes to market, distribution models, RD&I projects, collaborations, JVs, and JDAs with competitors, etc.
  • Develop the Expert Competition Law Group to support and train commercial legal counsels.
  • Work in cross-functional M&A deal teams and provide merger control and foreign investment advice.
  • Draft and update competition law protocols, guidelines, and compliance materials and tools.
  • Monitor, communicate, and act on international competition law developments.

Job Requirements:

  • Legal master.
  • Between 3-6 years of relevant working experience.
  • Business savvy and solution-oriented, used to proactively identifying and managing competition law risk across the organization.
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent command of English (proficiency in other languages being a plus).
  • Experience with delivering compliance programs and M&A merger filings will be a plus.
