As domain architect, you are the single point of contact towards our stakeholders to translate wishes and business needs into solutions. As technical expert you will be directly involved in any major new developments to bridge the gap between business requirements and high-level design. These can be diverse initiatives that could require architectural changes and making use of the newest technologies. A few examples include: • How can we make our networks fully software defined and fully automated? • How we can let our other IT chains like Fulfilment and Inventory interact with and learn from each other, closing the loop? • How can we reduce the time-to-market of our IT chain to serve our customers even better and increase the output of our development capacity? Besides focusing on these aspects, you will advise teams and engineers, work closely together with architects in other parts of the company and contribute to a variety of topics within the department.
As architect you bring proven experience in: • Translating business requirements into technical requirements to create business value. • Building and maintaining our architectural vision and roadmap • Continuous delivering of business value through deep understanding of Service Assurance tooling. • The development of new technologies in our business • Exploring the market on new technologies for our business and in helping our DevOps teams. • Discussing solutions and possible risks with stakeholders to create the right level of understanding • Assessing whether design choices can be made fit within the future architecture framework of governance of KPN • Determining the solution direction of architectural issues • Discussing roadmaps and new technologies with IT suppliers. • Networking (TI) technologies and standards, ITIL, Agile, Scrum or other value delivery methods. • Communication and presentation (both technical audience and management) in English. Dutch is a plus.
