Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and collate competitive information to drive insights and understand the validity and reliability of market research results.
  • dentify key industry trends and key opinion leaders and work with leadership team to develop and execute a localised version of our European annual marketing plan. Specifically contributing an understanding of our UK upper extremity market.
  • Understand the costs of acquiring new customers vs. retaining current customers and predict sales trends in the market.
  • Product life cycle management including product launch and portfolio analysis
  • Develop contingency plans in the event of a supply chain interruption
  • Work with Business Solutions Manager to anticipate the needs of customers and patients. Then, create and communicate a value proposition that protects our margin and helps increase market share and customer loyalty.
  • Lead the development of new marketing channels and tools including improving proficiency in virtual training and engagement, utilising social media platforms and helping evolve our systems and tools of communication.
  • Gather market intelligence through field visits with sales force and customer visitations.
  • Achieving and exceeding annual portfolio revenue targets
  • Brainstorm and develop medical education programs for key customer groups in isolation or in collaboration with other business units
  • Develop relationships globally to assist in developing our local market and share best practice
  • Developing and communicating product positioning and messaging through effective training of the sales team. Work with the European Extremities education team to ensure sales force is competent to sell product and can cover surgical cases.
  • Manage the local instrument forecast and marketing discretionary budget.
  • Liaise with loan kit team to ensure demand/need is being met with loan kit fleet.
  • Liaise with consignment team to ensure demand/need is being met with consignment instruments and implant availability whilst managing our local, “Days on Hand” number to ensure we maximise return on our instrument and implant stock.
  • Work with the EU Marketing team to drive innovation and gap closing activities.
  • Partner with compliance and events team to ensure all Stryker events are compliant.Facilitate delivery of all customer education events and congresses and provide an annual spend plan showing return on investment, accurate forecasting and clear budget management,
  • Become Stryker product advocate and build a strong partnership with sales force.
  • Collaborate where appropriate with other Stryker divisions
  • Take a creative approach to new business development for both current and future technologies and platforms.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related discipline would be beneficial.
  • A marketing qualification would be looked upon favorably but not essential.
  • 3+ years medical device or marketing experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects whilst delivering on established timelines.
  • Successful sales and/or marketing experience.
  • Ideally product knowledge in the upper extremity segment.
  • Coached, mentored or developed salespeople previously and helped achieve improved sales results.
  • Managed contract implementations and renewals at procurement level and ideally experience of working with National frameworks.
  • Coached, mentored and delivered training to others.
  • Managing a budget or project where a return on investment has been demonstrated
  • Demonstrate project work that delivered a tangible and beneficial outcome
