WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

Based out of our office in either Dusseldorf, Madrid, Prague, Brussels, Amsterdam or Wroclaw, you will join our Client Service Compliance (CSC) Monitoring team as part of McKinsey’s Ethics and Compliance group.

The mission of this group is to drive holistic trust, protect our firm while enabling impact, and support our colleagues with the highest integrity. The Ethics and Compliance group is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of the firm. In this role, you will report to the compliance manager of CSC Monitoring. You will also collaborate closely with colleagues from the firm’s risk and legal groups to stay abreast of updates from these groups, while ensuring cross-functional communication as it relates to CSC Monitoring testing efforts.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will play a key role in developing firm-wide ethics and compliance capabilities by assisting in implementing a comprehensive monitoring program that evaluates compliance with client service policy and related standards.

As a compliance specialist, you will be instrumental in selecting samples, reviewing documentation, conducting testing, assessing non-compliance, developing outcome reports and supporting remediation efforts. You will also implement the CSC Monitoring program within at least one region.

You will be a key contributor in the development of solutions tailored to the unique needs of our firm, and you will be expected to collaborate with a varied set of stakeholders across all firm functions on the programmatic needs of the firm, while also being a pivotal contributor to the overall change management process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or certifications are preferred
  • 3+ years of professional experience in risk, ethics, compliance and/or governance in a large organization
  • 2+ years testing internal controls, conducting compliance audits, or monitoring compliance programs
  • Experience working in highly dynamic cross-functional and global teams
  • Ability to challenge and influence at various levels of the organization with confidence
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and ownership mentality to progress on ambiguous problems and see them through to resolution
  • Analytical mindset
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing; bilingual is preferred
