Job Description

Scope of position:

As a branch IT support specialist, you are responsible for supporting the employees in the branch, as well as performing maintenance on systems and applications and wherever possible automate processes.

Major duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the end users on incidents logged in our online ticket system, help requests by phone or people walking in;
  • Basic level Windows server and Unix support;
  • Taking care of hardware installation (PC, Server, Laptop);
  • Support on network issues (LAN, WAN, WiFi);
  • Support the employees in the warehouse (scanners, tablets, automation);
  • Coach and train our end users on the usage of tools, applications and basic knowledge of IT (self-service);
  • Performing daily checks of backups/systems as well as making sure that these checks are administered in a portal;
  • Knowing and understanding the network policy, topology, LAN, IP Standards;
  • Knowing and understanding the IT processes and proactive seek for improvements in these processes by automation of tasks, to ensure a more efficient and productive way of working;
  • Support on EDI issues, Identify EDI issues and escalate to the EDI Support team in our Corporate Headquarters;
  • Support on solving issues with PCs, Printers, Laptops and Servers (Windows/Unix);
  • Safeguarding and improving (cyber) security where possible;
  • Contribute in a good and strong relationship with our local service providers and suppliers;

Qualifications

What is required from you?

  • Minimum education of MBO-level 4;
  • Be able to write and speak in English and Dutch.
  • You have working experience in a similar IT support function.
  • You do not have a 9-to-5 mentality, as we also need to be able to support after regular hours.
  • Be a team player and have the ability to listen, comprehend and effectively communicate to obtain positive results;
  • You have experience in working with servers, network, PC’s, Mobile phones and more IT equipment.
  • You have experience and good knowledge of: MS Office. Windows Server, Windows 10, Active Directory, etc..
  • You preferably have experience with programming languages like VBA, Python, Pascal, Powershell
  • You are able to multitask and carry out and complete projects on time
  • You have good communication skills
  • You are customer service oriented.
