Corporate Tax Manager EMEA (WTC Schiphol - Hybrid role)

LOCATION OF THE JOB

This is a #hybrid position, which means the team would like to work with you 1 or 2 days a week at our beautiful Schiphol WTC Head quarters.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As a member of the recently started enthusiastic Global Tax team the role will be responsible for supporting the Director Corporate Tax EMEA on direct tax matters to make sure Trivium is compliant with tax regulations and to support with accurate reporting of all tax risks and further develop and optimize Trivium’s direct tax position. The corporate tax manager will report to the Director Corporate Tax EMEA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for monitoring group direct tax compliance status to ensure that all tax filings and payment obligations are met, including the preparation of the Dutch fiscal unity tax return together with accounting department and external tax compliance service provider
  • Prepare and maintain tax analyses and technical papers to support the tax filing positions taken in EMEA
  • Assisting with quarter-end and year-end tax reporting processes and supporting the wider Group Tax team in responding to requests from external auditors
  • Effectively and proactively reacting to changes in tax legislation to support the Director Corporate Tax in identifying risks, threats and opportunities for the business
  • Supporting Group Tax/wider business functions on various direct tax issues, ad-hoc queries, business projects, etc., and pro-actively seeks to identify opportunities to optimize tax positions and/or mitigate potential tax risks
  • Manage monitoring cash tax and pro-actively search for optimization opportunities
  • Supporting the Director Corporate Tax and wider tax team in managing direct tax audits, working with third-party advisors and local Finance teams in the development of audit strategies, the preparation of defense files and audit responses

Ensure no material issues to arise within EMEA direct tax:

  • Up to date tax compliance status for the group
  • Ability to find a successful solution in complex problems.
  • Ability to deal with complex terms in a precise and clear manner and communicate to stakeholders.

KNOW HOW

Education & Training:

• Recognized Dutch tax qualifications (Bachelor/Master in Dutch tax law or tax economy).

• Several years of relevant international tax experience with an tax advisory firm, tax authorities and/or tax department of large multinational.

COMPETENCIES

• Analytical, practical, pro-active team player with sustainable ethical attitude.

• Excellent Dutch and English language skills, spoken and written.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other business software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, etc.).
