HBO/WO (afstudeer)opdracht: Perform analysis and set up a comparison model

Job description

​The transport industry is changing rapidly, driven by innovation and an overall paradigm shift from buying and using, to pay per use models (Servitization concept). It is therefore important for the manufacturers, importers, and dealers to provide the right service to end users. As Commercial Services intern, you will be instrumental in analyzing the current market offerings and setting up a comparison model.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a competitor analysis and market research
• Perform interviews with DAF sales force to collect market specific feedback
• Gather and analyze data, and develop a fact-based comparison model for different truck brands
• Translate the analysis outcome to feasible recommendations to improve the market positioning of DAF MultiSupport.

Your profile

​You are hands-on, independent, a strong communicator in English and driven to bring this assignment to more than good results. You are able to understand the complexity of competitor analysis and market needs. Truck industry knowledge is appreciated but not necessary.

Area of Marketing & Business, preferably from a Business Administration (EIA) program

Within DAF Trucks N.V., Commercial Services is responsible for the sales of Repair & Maintenance contracts under the name “DAF MultiSupport”. The Repair & Maintenance contracts of DAF MultiSupport reduces the risk for customers of DAF and ensure that customers can focus on their core business. Services offered by DAF MultiSupport, vary between only covering prescribed maintenance and coverage for all costs caused by breakdowns.
