We have an outstanding entry level opportunity for someone wishing to commence their Insurance career by joining our growing team in Ipswich. No experience necessary, although it would be advantageous to have some prior industry experience.

The Role

You will be a key member of our Property and Casualty Centre of Excellence Client Servicing team, working alongside P&C sales and broking colleagues in London, our global network offices and our operational team in Mumbai. We place bespoke insurance and reinsurance solutions for our diverse client base, ranging from large global corporate clients, to Small and Medium sized Enterprise (SME) and new start-ups.

We are an integral part of the end to end client servicing function, beginning with leading the discussions with our clients to establish their insurance requirements through to the completion of the insurance product. This often takes the form of face to face meetings with the client as well as the insurance market to carry out programme and structure design workshops.

We work closely with the London market broker during the process and co-ordinate all stages of the placement with key stakeholders involved, which could include Captive insurers, Lenders / Legal Advisors, Engineering professionals and/or Surveyors and Valuation companies. We are an agile working team and utilise the skills and proximity of the London market as required, to fulfil the clients’ requirements. The role encompasses regular client and underwriter contact, in person (whether in our office or at their location), or via all other available communication methods.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identify primary budget holders and decision makers within clients and then establish, build and maintain strong relationships with them
  • Grow existing portfolio by identifying new and/or existing opportunities
  • Lead and deliver the end to end ongoing client service
  • Support the Business Unit in accurate budgeting, forecasting and tracking of revenue
  • Manage client pricing to ensure each client meets agreed target profitability levels
  • Proactively develop appropriate solutions and proposals for clients to ensure optimum client retention rates
  • Communicate effectively with clients, associates, markets and others where appropriate to maximise service delivery levels
  • Development of service plans that define the engagement and timing of engagement with the client
  • Manage KPIs/SLAs to ensure targets are met
  • Accurately maintaining the CRM database
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant products and services offered by Willis Towers Watson
  • Networking – internally with other BUs, within the sector, and with external specialists (lawyers, TPAs, insurers).
  • Work closely and maintain working relationships with key market contacts (and the Business leads) as required
  • Ensure transparency of agency and other commitments made to carriers and clients
  • Assist with loading of data into the relevant Willis Towers Watson Systems
  • Assist with and design programme and pricing structures to best meet the client’s needs based on knowledge of the client, the insurance market and industry sector proposition

The Requirements

  • Educated to A Level standard or higher
  • The desire to make a successful career within Insurance Broking
  • The ability to deliver high levels of client service
  • An ability at building effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers and external specialists
  • Ability to represent the practice and Willis Towers Watson with integrity and credibility
  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • An interest in working towards the CII qualification
