Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) has more than 40,000 students and over 4,000 employees at 11 institutes and 15 locations in Rotterdam. This organisational structure enables RUAS to closely connect with different professional fields and educate students in a rich context, which is a key element of the strategic course of RUAS. There is a wide variety of programs to choose from across all educational sectors, except for the agriculture sector.
The Centre of International Affairs (CoIA), part of the central service department of Education & Development, is responsible for all matters related to internationalisation within RUAS. With approximately 28 staff members within CoIA, one of the goals is to inform international students about studying at RUAS and to support them in all their administrative requirements. CoIA also supports (inter)national students in their preparation for a period of study abroad.
CoIA is a.o. responsible for the housing of the international students of RUAS and support of staff, institutes and students in the organization and reporting of international projects. Now that one of our staff members will leave the organisation. The Centre of International Affairs is looking to recruit a Student Housing Officer combined with the function of Project manager (1.0 fte) with immediate effect.
As Student Housing officer your main responsibility is the management of the available rooms for international students in close cooperation with SSH (Stichting Studenten Huisvesting).
As Project Manager your main responsibility is making sure that externally funded projects run according to internal and external requirements from the awarding of the grant to the closing of the project.
Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool Rotterdam) offers you a temporary contract with the perspective of a permanent contract (1 year D4). The salary range is HBO-CAO grade 9 (€ 3.018,49 minimum and € € 4.158,87 maximum gross per month) for fulltime employment, exclusive of 8% holiday pay and 8.3% end-of-year bonus. All staff members of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences must be able to submit a Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag, VOG) issued by the Dutch Minister of Justice and Security.
