The European Operating Center located in Heerlen houses a team of about 500 professionals in Supply Chain, Warehousing & Logistics, Customer Service, Transport and Master Data Governance. From our main Distribution Centers in EMEA we serve our customers in over 120+ countries in Europe, Central & Eastern Europe and Middle East & Africa. Next to that our main DC’s act as a hub in our worldwide supply network and as such we also supply local DC’s (10+) and FSL’s (45+) of Medtronic in Central & Eastern Europe and Middle East & Africa.
A team of 120 Supply Chain professionals is accountable for Supply Chain Management for the entire Medtronic product portfolio containing over 80,000 active products, generating over 4 b$ of revenue via multi-channel sales concepts (B2C, B2B) and multiple inventory strategies (Direct Sales, Hospital Consignment stock, Local DC’s/forward stocking locations).
A Day in the Life
We offer you a position in the EMEA Network planning team as an Associate Supply Chain Analyst. In this challenging role you will support the network growth and internal customer satisfaction of our local DC’s in EMEA. As an Associate Supply Chain Analyst – Network Planning you will be responsible for the replenishment between tier 1 DC’s and management of Local DC’s or Forward Stocking Locations (FSL’s).
With the Network Planning team, you will provide advanced support in planning execution of the replenishment between tier 1 DC’s and the coordination of product availability in the local DC’s/ FSL’s in line with the business Supply Chain strategies and processes. You can drive inventory optimization via stock target setting, supply chain controls and excess stock identification.
You provide hands-on support and coordination to the Supply Chain Planners in the local DC’s and/or FSL’s, take process ownership and drive standardization via continuous improvements. You assess the internal customer requirements and needs and can make the translation towards system and process design for network and inventory optimization. Also Master Data Management and PLC coordination for the local DC’s/FSL’s is managed by you.
You work in close cooperation with different stakeholders (Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Regional/Local Supply Chain Planning, Customer Care, Logistics, Regional/Country business).
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
To be successful in this role, you are a problem solver with analytical skills and a pro-active, hands-on mentality. You have a distinct drive for results and a clear focus on customer satisfaction. You are able to build lasting relationships with colleagues in other departments and disciplines. You appreciate contributing to a dynamic work environment and not afraid to take the lead. Managing several tasks and projects at once poses no problem for you, as is working under pressure.
