About the department
The R&D department plans the sustainable product and technology road map for Europe and works on developing advanced, full electric vehicles series which fulfill current and future European private transportation market needs. By cooperating with European leading suppliers, the R&D department continuously upgrades design and engineering abilities for excellent product performance and quality.
The R&D team is looking for a senior test engineer to develop test structures and ensure efficiency and quality of our passenger EV.
Your key responsibilities will be:
1. Responsible for the analysis and research of market regulations, policies and customer car habits for sales purposes.
2. Responsible for the analysis and research of vehicle scenarios and typical failure cases, and establish a complete test case library.
3. Responsible for vehicle test planning, organization, implementation and reporting.
4. Responsible for docking with domestic technical departments and establishing feedback mechanisms for test problems.
5. Responsible for the integration of overseas test resources to ensure the effective implementation of validation activities.
6. Responsible for the analysis and research of road conditions and traffic information, and development of endurance test programs.
7. Responsible for charging facility analysis and research, and developing charging adaptations.
8. Responsible for test evaluation and problem risk assessment.
9. Responsible for research of potential programs.

Electric buses manufactured by those two factories will be exported to customers across continental Europe. It is also in partnership with Alexander Dennis in the UK which assembles jointly developed buses for the UK market.
Up to now, the footprint of BYD electric vehicles covers over 70 major European cities, which will undoubtedly grow in the future.
