Full- Stack PHP Developer

To reflect our global business we are looking to hire for this position in either: London (UK), Amsterdam, or Enschede.

All about the role

As a Full-stack PHP developer, you will join the Delivery Areas Operations Team that is responsible for delivery areas domain and constantly improving delivery areas management for our partners. You will be delivering highly scalable services and UI tools leveraging the latest paradigms and architecture patterns. You will face challenges around a broad set of technologies and areas of expertise.

As part of this role, we’re counting on you to:

• Design, code, and test technical solutions independently, according to predetermined specifications.
• Understand the wider technological landscape and how changes will have an impact.
• Adhere to the processes, standards, and designs agreed upon by your team.
• Ensure you and others continuously improve by proposing and implementing new processes, designs, and engineering practices that make your team more effective.
• Contribute to the definition of product features, including workshops with other product development teams.
• Take ownership of supporting your changes through all environments including production.
• Identify system deficiencies and recommend standard/simple solutions.
• Understand stakeholder needs and present potential solutions.

Can you deliver…

• 2+ years of experience with PHP 5.6 / PHP7.
• Strong OOP knowledge, proven principles, and the ability to apply them are a must.
• Experience with the development of production-ready solutions.
• Have a broad knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JS (preferably with Vuejs)
• Experience with MySQL, JavaScript, and MVC frameworks e.g. Laravel or Symfony.
• Knowledge of REST API's.
• Experience in writing tests using (PHPUnit/Codeception).
• Experience with Docker and Linux.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others both locally and remotely as well as being able to resolve complex issues independently.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Understanding of application security and industry standards and best practices.
• Experience with caching systems (Redis/Memcached).
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and Java
