Indirect taxes, particularly value-added tax (VAT), can be extremely complex and administratively burdensome, made even more so with the approach of Brexit. Our international network of experts manages all aspects of indirect tax to help clients avoid or mitigate costly mistakes, interest and penalties.
We support and guide clients through indirect tax changes or changes to businesses that impact indirect taxes. We advise on setting up businesses in the U.K. and across the EU together with the indirect tax implications of reorganisations and supply chain changes.
We help clients plan for Brexit by identifying risk areas, advising on additional compliance requirements and determining any necessary changes to their trade. We help clients take the critical first step of an indirect review of their supply chain to ensure a successful indirect tax Brexit business plan.
As a result of this breadth, along with A&M’s growth, we are expanding the tax practice rapidly at all levels and looking to recruit a Manager into the Indirect Tax team. The ideal candidate will be bright, entrepreneurial, action-orientated, and hands-on.
The Indirect Tax Manager will be required to work with the Directors and Managing Director in handling a wide variety of indirect tax queries raised by clients, pan European VAT and Customs and International trade projects and a small amount of VAT compliance. The role will involve researching technical issues using case law databases, legislation and HMRC guidance. Good numeric and spreadsheet skills would also be an advantage. This is a real opportunity for progression for the right candidate.
The role is suitable for someone who is CTA or ACA qualified and has a number of years experience of working in a VAT role. The role requires someone who is a quick learner, diligent and willing to accept new challenges. Good interpersonal skills and flexibility are essential in a small team.
