About the role

Mambu's Security team is focused on ensuring security is at the heart of our products, services and culture. We’re at an exciting time of our journey as we scale up to support a growing customer base and expand our services across multiple clouds. The Principal Security Architect Role is pivotal to future-fit our security strategy and requires expert knowledge and experience in cloud security, security architecture, secure software development, API security, PKI, Identity & Access Management, data security and solution patterns.

What you’ll do

• Security requirements, solution architecture and use cases for security are built in by design and default, with appropriate monitoring and ongoing effectiveness assessment across design, implementation and operations.
• Security artefacts, patterns, blueprints, services and code libraries are consumable by developers and Service Reliability Engineers, reducing development burdens and ensuring scalability and consistency of security controls.
• Appropriate cloud security controls are embedded across AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI stacks.
• Best-in-class, automated security controls are embedded across Mambu’s cloud infrastructure, architecture and design processes, to support a rapidly scaling business, servicing top-tier financial institutions in a cloud-first, agile, DevSecOps environment.
• Mambu’s API security strategy is defined and ensures best-in-class security controls are embedded and evolve in step with the threat landscape.

What you’ll bring

• Extensive experience and specialist expertise in security architecture, ideally within highly regulated banking/technology/ FinTech scale-up environments.
• Expert knowledge of infrastructure, platform, software security design patterns, software architecture and associated security principles; cloud security architecture (we operate across AWS, Azure, GCP); microservices security; IAM;API security, cryptography, threat modelling and secure software development,with a proactive attitude to continuous learning to stay abreast of digital innovations.
• Proven track record of designing, building, maturing and scaling security architecture capabilities and oversight in cloud-first organisations and a deep understanding of how to articulate relevant strategic roadmaps in a compelling, customer-focused way.
• Visionary thinker, an advocate for innovation, with a deep understanding of how to continually evolve Mambu’s security architecture, practices and controls in line with evolving threats and changing business focus.
