We are looking for a motivated, data-driven Senior Data Analyst for our Marketing Operations team. The role will be supporting our Meta Search channels to help them succeed. These channels provide Expedia Group a global presence with various performance marketing partners.

You will work directly with Meta partners and serve as their technical point of contact. You will have the responsibility to continuously monitor and improve the technical integration of existing partners and onboard new partners. More specifically, you will configure and provide API connections, data feeds, tracking and deep linking. In addition, you will ensure our inventory is correctly mapped on partner sites. This is key in ensuring customers have a frictionless journey from our marketing partners through to our site.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-growing environment with an international and diverse team. You will solve complex problems, use large amounts of data to drive insights, interact with a broad set of partners and have the ability to influence decision-making. This role will be based in either Austin, TX, Seattle, WA or London, UK.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as technical point of contact for Meta partners, helping them integrate with Expedia (through hotel search APIs, booking APIs and content feeds). You will also be responsible for improving the quality of existing integrations
  • Drive property mapping. You will be responsible for ensuring the data feeds we send to partners are accurate and the end-to-end journey from the partner site through to our site is working
  • You will work with partners and internal teams to execute strategies to avoid and resolve technical mapping issues like incorrect, duplicate, and unmapped properties. You will be leveraging and improving algorithms (like Python) to enhance the quality of the mapping
  • Investigating and resolving any technical problems partners may face. You will act as the first line of support for issues, investigate root causes and devise solutions, either independently or with the help of other teams
  • Define reporting and automation needs, working with Product teams to deliver them
  • Manage internal relationships with key technical support teams
  • Ensure smooth delivery of mapping status reports, providing regular stakeholder updates

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a business, marketing or data background or related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience
  • Several years of experience working in online marketing, operations or related field
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and you work well within a team
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets
  • Highly detail-oriented and dependable
  • Positive attitude, and a genuine interest in working in a fast-moving, environment and wearing multiple hats as needed
  • Excellent MS Excel skills, and know your way around other MS Office products (PowerPoint, Word)
  • Proficiency with APIs
  • Intermediate SQL skills
  • Basic to intermediate Python skills
  • Experience with marketing analytics tool (Adobe Omniture, Google Analytics or similar) a plus but not mandatory
  • Detail driven – you demonstrate a strong attention to detail, accuracy and a detail-driven mind-set
  • Problem solver – you have a passion for ‘detective work’ and have strong problem-solving skills and ability to logically analyze complex processes and data sets and put solutions in place
  • Self-starter - able to independently manage and prioritize your own workload on a daily basis
  • Team player - able to work with others globally to get the job done
