About the role
We are looking for a Software Developer to join Airbus Defence & Space, in either our Guildford or Newcastle upon Tyne offices. You will join our Connected Intelligence group and report to our Head of Software Development.
With proprietary access to the world's leading commercial satellite constellation Airbus Intelligence deliver sustainable satellite imagery and geospatial data solutions that span the entire value chain and are unrivalled in the marketplace. The applications we serve are manifold and include maritime surveillance, precision agriculture, emergency response and environmental monitoring. As world-leading experts in geo-information and defence solutions, we help decision makers to increase security, optimise mission planning, improve management of resources and protect our environment.
You will create and assist in the development and maintenance of software systems and components, working to departmental development standards. As an experienced developer, you will mentor and support junior developers in your team. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm for creative innovative solutions, which exceed customer expectations.
You will need to be eligible to gain UK SC Security Clearance and must have 5 years consecutive UK residency to obtain this.
