Menlo Coaching is an industry-leading admissions consulting firm that helps MBA applicants win entry to top business schools. To help with client work and enhance our marketing efforts, we are looking to hire an Editorial & Marketing Associate.

We are looking for a talented writer and editor with an interest in expanding their core skill set—someone with a passion for the written word and the drive to take on new challenges.

The role is perfect for those who have had experience in editorial positions but want to learn more about digital marketing; for those who have worked as freelance editors or writers but are looking to join a team; or for recent graduates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in literature, linguistics, or journalism looking to develop their business skills.

On any given day, the Editorial & Marketing Associate might be:

  • Planning, writing, and proofreading web articles
  • Familiarizing themselves with top business schools and the general MBA admissions landscape
  • Helping a client manage their application work
  • Assisting with marketing content workflow and taking ownership of marketing projects
  • Producing reports based on real-world business school data
  • Copyediting a client’s admissions essay, resume, or application package
  • Ensuring accuracy throughout our content library and maintaining our web pages
  • Investigating and proposing new content topics

Looking for a role that grows with you?

As an Editorial & Marketing Associate at Menlo Coaching, you can expect to put your writing and editing skills to good use—but you can also expect to acquire new skills in digital marketing.

In addition to the responsibilities described above, the Editorial & Marketing Associate will learn:

  • How to plan, write, and optimize content for SEO
  • How to interpret and act on marketing analytics data
  • How to convert web visitors into sales leads
  • How to develop an overall content marketing strategy

We do not care if you speak Dutch!

Instead, the primary “must-haves” for this position—beyond excellent written and verbal skills—are a university degree and fluency in English. (Most of our clients are American.)

The Associate should also be able to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities, knowing when to take the initiative and when to ask for guidance.

Because the Associate will interact with both our consultants and our clients, professionalism in written communications and during live interactions is paramount.

You’ll be keeping good company at Menlo Coaching

This fulfilling, full-time position is based out of our Baarn, NL office – just a 40-minute train ride from Amsterdam Centraal Station – where you’ll work as a part of our close-knit team.

We work collaboratively, meaning that although we offer the chance to work from home, everyone meets regularly in-person.

Some things that people like about working at Menlo:

  • We have a comfortable, friendly office full of knowledgeable, patient professionals.
  • We don’t and won’t work with clients who don’t need our help or who are a bad fit.
  • We approach all things with the long-term in mind, considering the careers of our clients and our team.
  • Our primary function is helping people see themselves in a better light.
