You are responsible for

  • Work on key marketing intelligence and knowledge management projects to deliver strategic insights to senior management
  • Support the entire team (5 MI&A professionals) on their day-to-day activities and regular reporting to senior management
  • Collaborate with the broader MI&A department on high-impact strategic projects
  • Optimize your learning curve and teach you the basics of knowledge management and competitive analysis in a multinational environment

You are a part of

This role is part of Global Knowledge Management & Competitive Intelligence (KM&CI) team (within the Group Marketing Insights & Analytics (MI&A) function) which is responsible for monitoring key market landscape trends and opportunities at global level, maintaining the enterprise-wide insights management platform and advising and supporting the senior management.

You will work at our head office in Amsterdam.

To succeed in this role, you‘ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Studying towards a Bachelor or Master's degree preferably in a quantitative field: Data Science, Statistics, Integrated Marketing, Business Administration, Business Analytics Management
  • An excellent analytical thinker with a pragmatic approach and great problem solving
  • Proficiency in data science methodologies and advanced analytics preferred
  • Able to monitor the web, news, social media, blogs and internally developed digital platforms, dashboards and data aggregation tools to collect relevant competitive information
  • Able to synthesize your findings in a crisp and clear manner and provide strategic recommendations
  • Proficient in using MS Office 365 Suite, specifically Excel, Teams and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in both written and spoken (native) English (additional languages are a plus)

Our intern remuneration package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €145,- net
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
