Your department

The FSSC Accounting team is located in Veghel (headquarters of Vanderlande). The team consists of 17 people. The main goal of the team is to provide high-quality and professional services for the EMEA region. The services which the Accounting team delivers are based on Tax and Compliance, Credit Management, and maintaining & improving financial processes. All regular transactions (processing invoices and bank statements) are executed by your colleagues in Pune (India).

Your role

In this role, you will be our Record 2 Report Specialist (or 'Subject Matter Expert', as we call it). You will actively seek out process optimization opportunities, e.g. in Tax accounting, Statutory reporting and within the Month-end process. You will be using tools like: Hubble, JD Edwards, Tungston, Longview and Blackline.

Your tasks and responsibilities for this position are varied, but you will at least:

  • Be part of improvement projects within the Record 2 Report Process which are mainly initiated by the Capability owner, e.g. on improvements within our Blackline tool that help us in the month-end process.
  • Initiate improvements and process changes, based on your expertise.
  • Translate possible improvements in business cases, based on issues/risks and stakeholders' needs.
  • Be aligned with various stakeholders, s.a. Tax Managers and our operational Tax & Compliance team.
  • Be an expert in the tools which we are using.
  • Ensure compliancy within our processes (IFRS and J-Sox).
  • Be aligned and closely cooperate with your global peers, located in America and India.
  • Act and steer on our defined KPI’s.

Your profile

  • A Bachelor/Master degree in Accountancy or Business Administration.
  • 5-7 years relevant experience within an international organization or accountancy firm.
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Good communication skills
  • An understanding of the IFRS accounting principles
  • You are a Teamplayer
  • Fluency in English, with Dutch as an advantage.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards is an advantage.
  • Independency, Analytical skills, Accuracy and Stress resistance are key personality traits foir this role.
