Your opportunity

Deloitte's Risk Advisory practice advises organisations on how to effectively mitigate risk and provide informed and intelligent risk management around business processes, technology and operations.

Our Risk Advisory business is expanding as we increasingly are asked to help organisations to adapt and respond to new risks and take advantage of new opportunities presented by digital technology and the internet. In particular we are looking for an individual to play a key role in the growth and maturing of our third party assurance business.

Managing risk and establishing effective controls are at the heart of good governance and sustainable business performance. Our Technology & Digital Risk (TDR) team of 350 UK professionals offer unrivalled depth of experience in providing governance, risk, control and assurance solutions to client needs, with focus on the Corporate and Public Sector (CPS). We design, implement and provide assurance over business process and technology controls to manage the risks our clients face on a day-to-day basis.

Our principle areas of work in Technology & Digital Risk are:

  • Technology risk management
  • Project and programme risk management and assurance
  • IT internal audit
  • Controls advisory and assurance
  • Automation risk
  • Service auditor reporting
  • Payments
  • Digital risk
  • Data analytics
  • Robotic process automation and cognitive analytics

We encourage consideration of flexible ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients. If

this opportunity is of interest to you with some flexibility, please do discuss with us.

Are you looking to return to the workplace after an extended career break?

For this role we can offer coaching and support designed for returners to refresh your knowledge and skills, and help your transition back into the workplace after a career break of 2 years or more. If this is relevant for you, just let your recruiter know when you make your application.

Your role

We are expanding our Future of Controls (www.deloitte.co.uk/controls) team across Manager and Senior Manager grades. Future of Controls is about helping our clients to build technology-enabled, sustainable and insightful control environments that achieve far more than basic compliance.

These roles will be responsible for:

  • Delivery of large and complex global projects. You be responsible for leading interesting and challenging work on a day-to-day basis, ensuring we utilise leading and innovative technology enabled delivery methods as well as more traditional support such as PMO, team leadership and implementation or monitoring of control frameworks.
  • Building and developing long terms relationships with stakeholders across our client organisations and taking our propositions to market.
  • Contributing to proposition development. We believe there is unprecedented opportunity in the Future of Controls and Controls Advisory space and we are looking for creative thinkers and motivators to identify new solutions and propositions. Creative thinking is essential.
  • Working with diverse teams to deliver the best technical solution (for example: GRC solutions; control automation; continuous controls monitoring; or control analytics) to solve our clients' needs.
  • Contributing to Deloitte's thought leadership in Future of Controls.
  • Acting as a role model - helping to develop and mentor our next leaders.
  • Having a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; with a clear understanding of the firm's commitment to creating a more inclusive culture.

Your service line: Risk Advisory

At Deloitte, You'll find yourself working with some of the most inspiring and experienced colleagues and with clients who trust you to lead the way to smart choices, better control frameworks, and new systems, including bespoke solutions that have a direct impact on their bottom line.

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints.
